REPORTS
ATTEMPTED MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 2022-02120135, 400 block of S. Eads Street. At approximately 12:36 p.m. on February 12, police were dispatched to the report of a man with a knife. A lookout was broadcast and officers located the suspect in the area of the Crystal City Metro Station and took him into custody without incident. The investigation determined that the victim was standing outside of a business when the suspect allegedly approached him with a knife in his hands and made threatening statements. The suspect then lunged at the victim and attempted to strike him before fleeing the scene on a bicycle. No injuries were reported. Victor Gabriel Gomes Da Silva, 20, of Arlington, Va., was arrested and charged with Attempted Malicious Wounding. He was held without bond.
UNLAWFUL ENTRY, 2022-02120021, 2000 block of N. Calvert Street. At approximately 1:40 a.m. on February 12, police were dispatched to the report of a suspicious person. Upon arrival, it was determined that the victim was inside his residence when he heard noises coming from the kitchen. Upon investigating, the victim observed the suspect allegedly looking through the kitchen drawers and confronted him. The suspect then approached the victim and pushed him several times before entering a bedroom and closing the door. Responding officers located the suspect in the bedroom and took him into custody without incident. Satyajeet Marar, 29, of Arlington, Va., was arrested and charged with Unlawful Entry and Assault & Battery.
WEAPONS VIOLATION (late), 2022-02130029, Washington Boulevard at Patrick Henry Drive. At approximately 2:03 a.m. on February 13, police were dispatched to the late report of threats. The victims were no longer on scene and an officer made contact with the reporting party via telephone. The investigation determined that the victims were driving in the area when the suspect pulled up next to them in his vehicle and a verbal dispute ensued, during which the suspect threatened them and brandished a firearm. The reporting party stated she was calling the police and the suspect drove away from the area. The suspect is described as White male, approximately in his 20’s, with longer dirty blonde hair. The investigation is ongoing.
ROBBERY, 2022-02130190, 1500 block of Wilson Boulevard. At approximately 8:20 p.m. on February 13, police were dispatched to the report of a robbery by force. Upon arrival, it was determined that the suspect entered into the checkout line of the business when he became involved in a verbal dispute with an employee. A brief struggle ensued over the cart before the suspect pushed the employee and fled the scene with merchandise from the cart. Responding officers canvassed the area for the suspect with negative results. The stolen merchandise was recovered outside the business. There is no suspect description. The investigation is ongoing.
UNLAWFUL ENTRY, 2022-02130045, 900 block of N. Stafford Street. At approximately 2:50 a.m. on February 13, police were dispatched to the report of a suspicious person. Upon arrival, officers located the suspect and took him into custody without incident. The investigation determined that the suspect gained entry into the building and entered into the victim’s apartment. No items were reported damaged or stolen. The victim did not wish to prosecute and the suspect was served with a banning notice from the property.
