REPORTS
BRANDISHING, 2022-07150019, 900 block of N. Jackson Street. At approximately 2:14 a.m. on July 15, police were dispatched to the report of a brandishing. Upon arrival, it was determined a fight had occurred in the parking lot of a business, during which witnesses reported two suspects had allegedly brandished firearms. Suspect One was located on scene and taken into custody without incident. During a search of the suspect incident to arrest, a firearm was recovered. Suspect Two had fled the scene in a vehicle, was located in the area and detained by responding officers. During a search of the suspect incident to arrest, officers recovered suspected narcotics. A search of the suspect’s vehicle recovered two firearms and ammunition. Edwin Garcia-Ventura, 30, of Woodbridge, VA was charged with Brandishing and Carrying a Concealed Weapon. Alhammasi Majid, 29, of Stafford, VA was charged with Brandishing, Felon in Possession of a Firearm (x2), Felon in Possession of Ammunition (x2), Possession with Intent to Distribute Schedule I/II , Possession with Intent to Distribute While Armed and Carrying a Loaded Firearm with a High Capacity Magazine. He was held without bond.
MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 2022-07140073, 600 block of N. Glebe Road. At approximately 11:27 a.m. on July 14, police were dispatched to the report of an assault. Upon arrival, it was determined the suspect entered the business, selected merchandise and exited without paying. When two employees confronted the suspect, a physical altercation ensued during which the suspect allegedly assaulted the employees and threw a glass bottle, striking one of the employees and resulting in a laceration. Responding officers took the suspect into custody without incident. Both victims were treated on scene by medics and one was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Brett Glasco, 31, of Lothian, MD was charged with Malicious Wounding and Shoplifting. He was held without bond.
CARJACKING, 2022-07170241, 2700 block of S. Fern Street. At approximately 12:07 a.m. on July 18, police were dispatched to the report of a carjacking. Upon arrival, it was determined that the male victim was exiting his parked vehicle when he was approached by the two unknown suspects. The suspects pushed the victim against the vehicle and demanded his belongings. When the victim refused, Suspect One assaulted him and Suspect Two reached into his pockets and stole his car keys, wallet and cell phone. The suspects then pushed the victim out of the way and entered his vehicle, accompanied by two additional suspects, and fled the area at a high rate of speed. Officers canvassed the area for the suspect vehicle yielding negative results. Suspect One is described as a Black male, approximately 18-25 years old, 5’5-5’7, wearing all black. Suspect Two is described as a Black male, 24-28 years old, 6’0, wearing all black and a ski mask. The victim reported Suspects Three and Four matched Suspect One’s description. The investigation is ongoing.
