REPORTS

ASSAULT ON POLICE x2, 161023003, 3100 block of N. Wilson Boulevard. At approximately 1:40 a.m. on October 23, a fight ensued inside a restaurant. Multiple officers approached a subject who was wrestling a bouncer and attempted to remove him. In the process of being removed, the subject bit two bouncers. When the subject was handcuffed, officers attempted to remove him from the premises but he wrapped his legs around a support pole and refused to let go. He continued to not comply and kicked two officers in their faces. Dylan Monroe Mack, 25, of an unknown address, was arrested and charged with malicious wounding, assault on police, assault & battery, disorderly conduct, and drunk in public.

ARMED ROBBERY, 161022054, 2300 block of Crystal Drive. At approximately 8:10 p.m. on October 22, officers responded to the report of an armed robbery. Upon investigation, it was determined that a male victim observed a vehicle pull up next to him and two male subjects exited the vehicle. One subject brandished a firearm and demanded the victims belongings. The suspects took the items belonging to the victim, re-entered the vehicle, and fled the area. The first suspect is described as a heavy set black male in his forties. He was wearing a light blue jean jacket and had a beard. The second suspect is described as a black male in his forties. He was wearing a black windbreaker jacket and a black hat. The third suspect is described as a black male in his forties, wearing a black t-shirt.

ROBBERY BY FORCE, 161021040, 4100 block of N. Pershing Street. At approximately 4:05 p.m. on October 21, officers responded to the report of a robbery. Upon investigation, it was determined that a male subject approached a male victim from behind and forced him to the ground. The subject then fled the scene with the victims wallet. The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 6'4" tall and weighed 240 lbs. He was wearing a blue shirt and blue jeans.

ASSAULT & BATTERY ON POLICE, 161022035, 3100 block of N. Wilson Boulevard. At approximately 1:13 p.m. on October 22, officers responded to check on the welfare of a male subject laying on a bench covered with a sleeping bag. When the male subject made no response, the officer removed the sleeping bag to ensure he was alive. Upon doing so, the subject became very aggressive and uncooperative with the officer, pushing him to the ground. The subject was taken into custody when additional units arrived. Darryl Lerenzo Aughtry, 49, of no fixed address, was arrested and charged with assault & battery on police, obstruction of justice, and disorderly conduct. He is being held without bond.

RECOVERED STOLEN AUTO, 161024006, 3700 block of N. Fairfax Drive. At approximately 2:32 a.m. on October 24, an officer conducted a routine traffic stop. Upon investigation, it was determined that the vehicle was reported stolen. Maureen Elizabeth Burke, 22, of Xenia, Ohio, was arrested and charged with grand larceny auto and driving while intoxicated. She is being held without bond.

ROBBERY(series), 161021057, 1300 block of N. Stafford Street. At approximately 10:10 p.m. on October 21, officers responded for two separate robberies committed by the same group of juveniles. During both incidents, the victims were approached by a group of 7-9 male subjects. The subjects asked for change and then snatched the money produced by the victims. The subjects then fled the scene. The suspects were described as a group of black males 15-17 years of age. The investigation is ongoing.

ASSAULT & BATTERY(significant), 161021055, 1300 block of N. Stafford Street. At approximately 8:20 p.m. on October 21, a large scale fight ensued between parties at a Washington & Lee football game. The incident was unrelated to the school or sporting event. An officer deployed her OC spray at the area of the subjects in efforts to disperse the crowd. Medics arrived on scene and treated those affected by the OC spray. Amanda James, 33, of Arlington Va, was arrested and charged with assault & battery. Petitions are pending for a juvenile suspect involved in the fight.
