MALICIOUS WOUNDING OF LAW ENFORCEMENT, 2017-12020178, 2100 block of 15
th Street N. At approximately 5:16 p.m. on December 2, police responded to the report of a larceny in progress. Upon arrival, the suspect fled and an officer pursued the suspect on foot. While apprehending the suspect in the 2200 block of Wilson Boulevard, a struggle ensued and the suspect bit the officer. An additional unit arrived on scene and took the suspect into custody. A show-up was conducted and the suspect was identified by witnesses. Michael Pressley, 51, of Washington, DC, was arrested and charged with Shoplifting, Obstruction of Justice, and Malicious Wounding of a Law Enforcement Officer. He was held on no bond.
ATTEMPTED MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 217-12030213, 24
th Street S. at Shirlington Road. At approximately 8:16 p.m. on December 3, police were dispatched to the report of shots fired. Upon arrival, it was determined that four juveniles were walking in the area when they were approached by a vehicle with three black males inside. One of the occupants of the vehicle brandished a firearm and fired shots in the direction of the juveniles. The vehicle fled the scene prior to police arrival. It is described as a large black van or SUV. There is no suspect(s) description. The juveniles were uninjured. Officers canvased the area with negative results. The investigation is ongoing.
ROBBERY, 2017-12020258, 5500 block of Columbia Pike. At approximately 9:15 p.m. on December 2, police were dispatched to the report of a larceny just occurred. Upon arrival, it was determined that an unknown suspect entered a business and approached an employee behind the counter, implying he had a gun. The suspect forced his way behind the counter and stole money from the cash register, before fleeing on foot. Units set up a perimeter and a K-9 track yielded negative results. During the course of the investigation, officers developed a suspect identification and obtained an arrest warrant. Upon hearing the broadcast suspect lookout in the below attempted grand larceny auto (2017-12030251) case, officers responded and confirmed he was wanted on the outstanding robbery warrant. Donnell Cook, 54, of Arlington, VA, was arrested and charged with Robbery and Providing False ID to Law Enforcement to Avoid Arrest.
ATTEMPTED GRAND LARCENY WITH APPREHENSION, 2017-12030251, 1800 block of N. Quinn Street. At approximately 11:57 p.m. on December 3, police were dispatched to the report of a suspect tampering with a vehicle. Upon arrival, a suspect was located inside of the vehicle, which had extensive damage. Arriving officers identified the suspect as being wanted in a robbery case that occurred on December 2. Donnell Cook, 54, of Arlington, VA, was arrested and charged with Destruction of Property, Possession of Burglarous Tools and Attempted Grand Larceny Auto.
INDECENT EXPOSURE, 2017-12020218, 1100 block of S. Joyce Street. At approximately 7:55 p.m. on December 2, a male victim reported that a male suspect had just exposed himself to the victim inside of a business. When the victim yelled at the suspect, the suspect attempted to flee but was stopped by a witness. Carlos Jimenez, 39, of Alexandria, VA, was arrested and charged with indecent exposure.
INDECENT EXPOSURE (late), 2017-12010177, 1200 block of N. Ohio Street. On December 1 at approximately 2:50 p.m., police were dispatched to the late report of an indecent exposure. Upon arrival, it was determined that at approximately 12:30 p.m. on November 27, two female victims were walking on the multi-use path when a male suspect pulled down his pants and began masturbating. The suspect is described as a younger white male, possibly Hispanic, wearing a dark olive green hoodie and blue jeans. The investigation is ongoing.
BURGLARY (late), 2017-12010106, 4300 block of Wilson Boulevard. At approximately 10:30 a.m. on December 1, police were dispatched to the late report of breaking and entering. Upon arrival, it was determined that a suspect(s) forced entry to a business overnight and stole items of value. There is no suspect description. The investigation is ongoing.
BURGLARY, 2017-12010235, 4400 block of 31
st Street S. At approximately 5:50 p.m. on December 1, police were dispatched to the report of a burglary just discovered. Upon arrival, it was determined that between 6:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. an unknown suspect(s) forced entry to a residence and stole items of value. There is no suspect description. The investigation is ongoing.
BURGLARY, 2017-12020113, 2700 block of Wilson Boulevard. At approximately 11:21 a.m. on December 2, police were dispatched to the report of a burglary that was just discovered. Upon arrival, it was determined that employees arriving for work discovered the power was out. Upon their investigation, the employees located a door with signs of forced entry and contacted police. No merchandise appeared stolen. There is no suspect description. The investigation is ongoing.
