Crime Report: March 16, 2017

REPORTS


BRANDISHING A FIREARM, 2017-03150073, 4300 block of Old Dominion Drive. At approximately 10:30 a.m. on March 15, officers responded to the report of a brandishing. Upon arrival, it was determined that a building's management notified residents that routine maintenance would be conducted in the building. When two maintenance workers knocked on a male subject's door, the subject answered while brandishing a firearm and threatening the victims. The victims then left the scene and contacted police. Gin Chan, 71, of Arlington Va, was arrested and charged with brandishing a firearm.

ROBBERY, 2017-03150262, 1000 block of S. Frederick Street. At approximately 10:56 p.m. on March 15, officers responded to the report of a late armed robbery. Upon arrival, it was determined a male victim was delivering food when an unknown male subject approached the victim from behind, brandished a knife, and demanded the items. The suspect then fled the area in an unknown direction. The suspect is described as a black male in his twenties, approximately 5'7"-5'8" tall and weighed 140-160 lbs. He was wearing all dark clothing and a black mask. The investigation is ongoing.

FRAUD, 2017-03164007, 5500 block of Columbia Pike
