REPORTS


BURGLARY (late), 2017-10270128, 2300 block of N. Quincy Street. At approximately 10:52 a.m. on October 27, police were dispatched to the late report of a larceny. Upon arrival, it was determined that an unknown suspect entered an unoccupied residence and an unlocked vehicle overnight, moved items around and stole items of value. There is no suspect description. The investigation is ongoing.

ATTEMPTED ROBBERY, 2017-10270185, N. Pollard Street at 9th Street N. At approximately 2:53 p.m. on October 27, police were dispatched to the report of an attempted robbery. Upon arrival it was determined that a male victim was calling the police to report a suspicious person soliciting in the area when the same individual approached the victim, grabbed his wrist and attempted to steal his cell phone. The suspect then fled the area on foot. The victim was uninjured. The suspect is described as a black male, about 18 years old, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, black pants and a black backpack. The investigation is ongoing.

RECOVERED STOLEN VEHICLE, 2017-10270211, 2100 block of Clarendon Boulevard. At approximately 4:02 p.m. on October 27, police were dispatched to the report of an individual attempting to register a stolen vehicle. Upon arrival, it was determined that two individuals purchased a used vehicle and while attempting to register it, discovered the vehicle to be reported stolen out of Virginia. The seller is reported to be a black male, approximately 5'8, 160 pounds and between 27 and 33 years old. The investigation is ongoing.

ATTEMPTED BREAKING & ENTERING (late), 2017-10290142, 5100 block of Lee Highway. At approximately 2:21 p.m. on October 29, police were dispatched to the late report of vandalism. Upon arrival, it was determined that between 9:30 p.m. on October 28 and 11:30 a.m. on October 29, an unknown suspect(s) attempted to force entry to a business unsuccessfully. Nothing was reported missing. There is no suspect description. The investigation is ongoing.
