REPORTS
ARMED ROBBERY, 2018-01030176, 3200 block of 24
th Street S. At approximately 3:40 p.m. on January 3, police were dispatched to the report of an armed robbery that had just occurred. Upon arrival, it was determined that three unknown suspects entered a business, one of whom brandished a firearm, and assaulted the employees before stealing money and items of value. The suspects fled in a black SUV prior to police arrival. One victim was transported to Virginia Hospital Center with minor injuries. Two additional victims were treated on scene by medics. Suspect One is described as a black male wearing a black jacket, black pants and white gloves. Suspect Two is described as a black male wearing a black hoodie, black jeans, black mask and black basketball shoes. Suspect Three is described as a black male wearing a black hoodie and black basketball shoes with white on them. The investigation is ongoing.
UNLAWFUL ENTRY, 2018-01030269, 600 block of N. Irving Street. At approximately 10:26 p.m. on January 3, police were dispatched to the report of an audible alarm. Upon arrival, it was determined that a known suspect gained entry to a church after hours. Arriving officers conducted a search of the building and located the suspect exiting the church. William Barker, 54, of No Fixed Address, was arrested and charged with Unlawful Entry (x2).
