REPORTS
BRANDISHING, 2019-07240227, 2400 block of 24
th Road S. At approximately 5:48 p.m. on July 24, police were dispatched to the report of a brandishing. Upon arrival, it was determined the witness was driving behind the suspect vehicle when he observed a handgun emerge from the passenger side window. He then observed two of the four occupants exit the vehicle and leave the scene on foot. A lookout for the suspect vehicle was broadcast and arriving officers located it in the area of 5
th Street S. and S. Glebe Road and conducted a traffic stop. No weapon was located during the course of the investigation and the two occupants were not charged. The two outstanding subjects are described as black males wearing white shirts. The investigation is ongoing.
MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 2019-07240229, 4800 block of Columbia Pike. At approximately 6:22 p.m. on July 24, police were dispatched to the report of an assault. Upon arrival, it was determined that the victim was attempting to speak with another patron at a business when an unknown suspect him in the head with a bottle, causing a laceration. The suspect fled in a vehicle prior to police arrival. The victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The suspect is described as a Hispanic male. The investigation is ongoing.
