REPORTS


ROBBERY (late), 2019-06070325, 4200 block of Wilson Boulevard. At approximately 11:21 p.m. on June 7, police were dispatched to the late report of an assault which had occurred at approximately 10:00 p.m. Upon arrival, it was determined that the victim and two suspects met for the pre-arranged sale of juul pods. Once there, one of the two suspects punched the victim in the face, causing him to fall to the ground. One suspect then brandished a knife and stole the victim's personal property. Suspect One is described as a male, wearing a white shirt, fanny pack, black jeans and sneakers. Suspect Two is described as a Hispanic male with his hair in a bun. The investigation is ongoing.

ROBBERY (late), 2019-06080231, 700 block of N. Glebe Road. At approximately 8:16 p.m. on June 8, police were dispatched to the late report of an armed robbery. Upon arrival, it was determined that at approximately 7:45 p.m., the victim and two suspects met and walked to the 4400 block of 7th Street N. for the pre-arranged sale of narcotics. Once there, one suspect brandished a firearm and stole the victim's personal property including his vehicle keys. The vehicle was later determined missing from its parking spot and presumed stolen. Suspect One is described as a black male, approximately 17-18 years old, 5'10" tall, medium build, with a short wavy haircut. He was wearing all black at the time of the incident. Suspect Two is described as a black male, approximately 17-18 years old, 5'10" tall, medium build, with a curly high top haircut. He was wearing a white tank top and black pants at the time of the incident. The investigation is ongoing.

ROBBERY, 2019-06090054, 5000 block of Lee Highway. At approximately 2:30 a.m. on June 9, police were dispatched to the report of an in-progress armed robbery. Upon arrival, it was determined that the suspect entered the business, displayed a firearm, jumped over the counter and demanded the victim to open the cash register. When the victim advised he was unable to do so, the suspect struck him in the face, causing a minor injury. The suspect fled the scene prior to police arrival. The suspect is described as a black male, 5'8" tall with an average build. He was wearing all black at the time of the incident. The investigation is ongoing.

PUBLIC MASTURBATION, 2019-06070066, 900 block of 15th Street S. At approximately 7:48 a.m. on June 7, police were dispatched to the report of an exposure. Upon arrival, it was determined that the suspect was captured on surveillance video allegedly masturbating inside a common room in a residential building. Justin Fletcher, 21, of Bladensburg, MD was arrested and charged with public masturbation. He was held on a secured bond.

BURGLARY (late), 2019-06090172, 400 block of N. Park Drive. At approximately 4:00 p.m. on June 9, police responded to the late report of a burglary. Upon arrival, it was determined that at approximately 6:40 a.m., a resident heard glass breaking. Upon investigation, they located a broken basement window and contacted their landlord. The landlord later located empty food and drink containers in the basement of the residence. The investigation is ongoing.

BURGLARY, 2019-06080041, 1900 block of Clarendon Boulevard. At approximately 2:15 a.m. on June 8, police were dispatched to the report of an activated commercial burglary alarm. Upon arrival, officers located an unsecured door to a restaurant, conducted a search of the property and did not located anyone inside. Nothing was reported stolen.
