REPORTS


ATTEMPTED BURGLARY (late), 2020-02060099, 5000 block of Columbia Pike. At approximately 10:07 a.m. on February 6, police were dispatched to the late report of the attempted burglary. Upon arrival, it was determined that between 1:59 a.m. and 2:35 a.m., two unknown suspects attempted to force entry to a business, causing damage. The suspects are described as males, approximately 6'0"-6'2", wearing all black. The investigation is ongoing.

ASSAULT ON LAW ENFORCEMENT/LARCENY, 2020-02060157, 1100 block of S. Hayes Street. At approximately 2:13 p.m. on February 6, police were dispatched to the report of a larceny just occurred. Three suspects allegedly stole items of value from a business and fled, prior to police arrival. A lookout was broadcast and an officer in the area located one suspect nearby and made contact. The juvenile suspect provided a false identification and subsequently fled on foot when the officer attempted to detain him. A brief foot pursuit ensued, before he was taken into custody without incident. While still on scene, an officer observed the two outstanding juvenile suspects in the area and made contact with them. Suspect Two refused to provide her identity to investigating officers and was acting disorderly during the investigation. While being processed at Police Headquarters, Suspect Two continued to behave disorderly and spit on an officer. Suspects Two and Three were found to be in possession of stolen goods. Petitions were sought for Obstruction of Justice and Giving False Identity to Law Enforcement While Detained, for Suspect One. Petitions for Assault & Battery on Police, Petit Larceny and Failure to ID were sought for Suspect Two. Petitions for Petit Larceny and Credit Card Theft were sought for Suspect Three.
