REPORTS


ROBBERY (late),  2020-07270155, 900 block of 15th Street S. At approximately 5:55 p.m. on July 27, police were dispatched to the late report of an armed robbery. Upon arrival, it was determined that at approximately 5:13 p.m., the victim and suspect met outside the building for the previously arranged sale of electronics. Upon providing the suspect with the item, the suspect lifted his shirt to expose the handle of a firearm and told the victim to return to the inside of the building. The suspect then fled in a vehicle, without paying the victim. The suspect is described as a Black male, 18-21 years old, with a slender build, 130-150 lbs., 5'8"-5'10", clean shaven, with short hair, wearing all black. The vehicle is described as a gold Dodge Durango. The investigation is ongoing.

LARCENY FROM AUTO/VEHICLE TAMPERING (series), 2020-07280029/07280031, 1800 block of N. Vanburen Street/1800 block of N. Tuckahoe Street. At approximately 4:00 a.m. on July 28, police were dispatched to the report of a tampering with auto. Upon arrival, officers observed a suspect lying in the roadway. As they made contact with the suspect, he fled on foot into Falls Church. A perimeter was established and a search of the area returned with negative results. The investigation determined the suspect allegedly entered approximately seven unlocked vehicles, rummaged through their contents and stole items of value. He is described as a Hispanic male in his teens, approximately 5'7", 145 lbs., with a facial tattoo.  The investigation is ongoing.
