REPORTS


ROBBERY, 2020-07060016, 500 block of 23rd Street S. At approximately 1:51 a.m. on July 6, police were dispatched to the report of an armed robbery. Upon arrival, it was determined that the victim was walking in the area when he observed the unknown male suspect exit a vehicle and approach him. The suspect brandished a firearm and stole the victim's phone and other items of value, then fled in the vehicle prior to police arrival. The suspect is described as a male, approximately 5'10"-6'0", with a thin build, clean shaven and short hair. The vehicle is described as a white SUV. The investigation is ongoing.

ATTEMPTED ROBBERY, 2020-07060073, 1700 block of S. Clark Street. At approximately 12:25 p.m. on July 6, police were dispatched to the report of a robbery. Upon arrival, it was determined that the victim had exited a bus and was walking in the area when he was approached by the male suspect who demanded the victim's personal belongings. When the victim declined, the suspect grabbed his shirt. The victim was able to get away from the suspect and seek assistance from building security nearby. The suspect is described as a Black male, approximately 5'9"-5'11", skinny build, bleached hair, wearing black jeans, black sneakers and headphones. The investigation is ongoing.
