REPORTS
MALICOUS WOUNDING BY CAUSTIC SUBSTANCE, 2020-11190144, 2700 block of N. Harrison Street. At approximately 4:55 p.m. on November 19, police were dispatched to the report of an assault just occurred. Upon arrival, it was determined that the victims and their dogs were playing in a park when they were approached by the unknown suspect, who was irate and attempted to kick one of the dogs. A verbal dispute ensued between the victims and suspect, during which the suspect allegedly pepper sprayed one of the victims. Arriving officers located the suspect in the area and took him into custody without incident. The victim sustained minor injury that was treated on-scene by medics. Geoffrey Moes, 57 of Arlington, Va., was arrested and charged with Malicious Wounding by Caustic Substance. He was held on an unsecured bond.
ATTEMPTED ROBBERY, 2020-11190086, 4200 block of Campbell Avenue. At approximately 12:05 p.m. on November 19, police were dispatched to the report of an assault just occurred. Upon arrival, it was determined that the victim and suspect had agreed to meet for the previously arranged sale of an electronic device via an app. The victim was approached by two suspects who attempted to grab the item. A brief struggle ensued, during which the victim fell to the ground, however, he resisted and was able to maintain possession of the item. The suspects then fled prior to police arrival. The victim was not injured. Suspect One is described as a Black male in his early to mid-twenties, approximately 5'10", 150 lbs., wearing a navy blue puffy jacket, a black beanie, dark colored pants, and a black face mask. Suspect Two is described as a Black male in his early to mid-twenties, approximately 6'2", 170 lbs., wearing a dark blue puffy jacket, a black beanie, light blue jeans, dark colored sneakers, and a dark colored face mask. The investigation is ongoing.
DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY-VEHICLE (series), 2020-1120071, 3000 bock of 22
nd Street S. At approximately 10:26 a.m. on November 19, police were dispatched to the report of a destruction of property. Upon arrival, it was determined that between 7:00 p.m. on November 18 and 9:00 a.m. on November 19, an unknown suspect(s) slashed the tires of three vehicles. There is no suspect description(s). The investigation is ongoing.
UNLAWFUL ENTRY, 2020-11190015, 2300 block of 26
th Court S. At approximately 1:30 a.m. on November 19, police were alerted to the second hand report of a breaking and entering. Upon arrival, it was determined that between 10:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. on November 18, a group of individuals forced entry to a secure community space within a residential building. Nothing was reported damaged or missing from the space. The suspects fled prior to police arrival. There are no suspect descriptions. The investigation is ongoing.
BURGLARY, 2020-11190113, 800 block of N. Cleveland Street. At approximately 1:49 p.m. on November 19, police were dispatched to the late report of a burglary. Upon arrival, it was determined that between 12:30 a.m. and 1:00 a.m., an unknown suspect gained entry to the residence. Nothing was reported missing or damaged. There is no suspect description. The investigation is ongoing.
