REPORTS


UNLAWFUL ENTRY, 2021-08280051, 2300 block of Richmond Highway. At approximately 4:02 a.m. on August 28, police were dispatched to the report of a trespasser. Upon arrival, it was determined that hotel staff observed the suspect allegedly enter two guest rooms using a stolen master key. Officers made contact with the suspect and took him into custody without incident. Warren Stevenson Jr., 34, of Accokeek, Md., was arrested and charged with Unlawful Entry (x2) and Petit Larceny, and held on a secured bond.

UNLAWFUL ENTRY, 2021-08280053, 1000 block of S. Frederick Street. At approximately 4:11 a.m. on August 28, police were dispatched to the report of a burglary in progress. Arriving officers made contact with the suspect outside the residence and detained him without incident. The investigation determined that the victim was awoken by the suspect allegedly yelling and attempting to gain entry to the residence. The door, which was secured by a chain lock , was partially open and the suspect allegedly attempted to grab items nearby inside the residence. Ramiro Julajuj, 35, of Arlington, Va., was arrested and charged with Unlawful Entry and Drunk in Public.

FRAUD (SIGNIFICANT), 2021-08280097, 3100 block of Wilson Boulevard. At approximately 9:56 a.m. on August 28, an officer on patrol in the 1100 block of S. Hayes Street was approached by an individual who found a wallet in the area and wanted to turn it in. The officer located the owner of the wallet, contacted him, and learned the wallet was previously stolen and there were fraudulent charges on the victim's credit cards. The officer initiated a follow-up investigation and developed a suspect description. At approximately 8:22 a.m. on August 29, the officer was on patrol in the area of Wilson Boulevard and N. Randolph Street, observed the suspect on foot, and took him into custody without incident. Anthony Bryant, 39, of No Fixed Address, was arrested and charged with Credit Card Theft (x2) and Credit Card Fraud (x2). The investigation is ongoing.

ROBBERY, 2021-08280042, 2300 block of Columbia Pike. At approximately 2:47 a.m. on August 28, police were dispatched to the report of trouble unknown. Arriving officers located the victim with multiple stab wounds and began to render aid. The victim was transported by medics to an area hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries. The investigation determined that at approximately 2:30 a.m., the victim was walking to his vehicle when the suspect approached him from behind, began to assault him, produced a knife and stabbed him multiple times. The suspect then reached into the victim's pocket and stole his wallet, containing credit cards and an undisclosed amount of cash, then fled on foot prior to police arrival. The suspect is described as a Black male, 20-30 years old, with a lean and muscular build, approximately 5'11", with a short afro that had a red hue, wearing a blue shirt, and dark pants. The investigation is ongoing.

ATTEMPTED GRAND LARCENY AUTO, 2021-08290045, 3200 block of 10th Street N. At approximately 2:18 a.m. on August 29, police were dispatched to the report of an alarm and reports of individuals attempting to steal scooters from a business. Arriving officers observed three suspects flee the business on foot, established a perimeter and detained one of the suspects without incident. A subsequent search of the area yielded negative results, and the other two suspects remain outstanding. During the course of the investigation, it was determined that the suspects were observed attempting to steal motorized scooters from the property and loading them onto a truck. The detained suspect initially provided false identifying information to police and during a search incident to arrest, he was found to be in possession of cocaine and wanted by the US Marshals Service. Olufemi Williams, 49, of Washington, D.C. was arrested and charged with Grand Larceny, Possession of a Schedule I/II Controlled Substance and Identity Theft. He was held on no bond. There are no descriptions for the two outstanding suspects. The investigation is ongoing.

BURGLARY (late), 2021-08270136, 1600 block of 28th Street S. On August 27, the victim contacted the Alternate Reporting Unit regarding the late report of a burglary. The victim stated that at approximately 10:08 p.m. on August 18, the unknown suspect entered into the unoccupied residence before fleeing the scene. There were no signs of forced entry and nothing was reported damaged or stolen. There is no suspect description. The investigation is ongoing.

BURGLARY, 2021-08270185, 4700 block of 7th Road N. At approximately 9:10 p.m. on August 27, police were dispatched to the report of a burglary just occurred. Upon arrival, it was determined that the victim was at home when she heard noise at the door to the residence. She called out, but heard no response, then subsequently observed the door to the residence was now open. Nothing was reported missing or damaged from the residence. There is no suspect(s) description. The investigation is ongoing.

UNLAWFUL ENTRY (late), 2021-08270111, 200 block of N. Trenton Street. At approximately 12:33 p.m. on August 27, police were dispatched to the report of an unlawful entry. Upon arrival, it was determined that approximately 30 minutes prior, the victim returned to her home and observed an unknown suspect(s) gained entry to her residence, leaving behind muddy footprints. The suspect was no longer on scene and nothing was reported damaged or stolen from the residence. There is no suspect(s) description. The investigation is ongoing.
