REPORTS
BURGLARY, 2021-07270090, 3800 block of Columbia Pike. At approximately 10:30 a.m. on July 27, police were dispatched to the report of a burglary in progress. Upon arrival, it was determined that the unknown male suspect had allegedly forced entry into the victims' apartment through a window and was asleep inside the residence. Arriving officers established a perimeter and gave the suspect commands to exit with negative results. Officers entered the apartment and the suspect was taken into custody without incident. During a search of his person incident to arrest, officers located an undisclosed amount of cash and personal items belonging to the victims, a shoulder holster and loaded magazine. A search of bed the suspect had been sleeping on resulted in the recovery of a firearm, determined to have been previously stolen. Adolfo Gustavo Alvarez Perez, 18, of Arlington, VA, was arrested and charged with Burglary and the Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony. He was held without bond.
MISSILE INTO OCCUPIED DWELLING, 2021-07270246, 6200 block of 11th Road N. At approximately 11:15 p.m. on July 27, police were dispatched to the report of a destruction of property. Upon arrival, it was determined that the victim was inside his residence when he heard what appeared to be glass breaking. The victim went to investigate and observed that the front window had been shattered with a rock. There is no suspect(s) description. The investigation is ongoing.
