REPORTS
DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY (Significant), 2021-03140038, 2300 block of S. 24th Road. At approximately 4:20 a.m. on March 14, police were dispatched to multiple reports of a male suspect breaking into vehicles with a metal object. Upon arrival, officers located a suspect matching the description provided by the reporting parties and took him into custody without incident. The investigation determined the suspect allegedly damaged five vehicles and destroyed the entry door and window to a residential building. Broderick Washington, 24, of Baltimore, MD, was arrested and charged with misdemeanor Destruction of Property (x5), felony Destruction of Property, and Tampering with a Vehicle.
RECOVERED STOLEN AUTO (Significant), 2021-03120089, 200 block of N. Glebe Road. At approximately 12:29 p.m. on March 12, police were dispatched to the report of a stolen motorcycle. Upon arrival, it was determined that the victim parked his motorcycle and entered a pharmacy. A witness reported observing the suspect allegedly approach the motorcycle and begin to tamper with it. A lookout with the suspect's information was broadcast. A Virginia State Trooper located the suspect in the area of I-66 at exit 73 pushing the motorcycle. Mariano Arnoldo Lizama Gamez, 21, of Falls Church, VA, was arrested and charged with Grand Larceny: Motor Vehicle. He was held on a secured bond.
INDECENT EXPOSURE (late), 2021-03130207, 2700 block of Wilson Boulevard. At approximately 9:23 p.m. on March 13, police were dispatched to the late report of an indecent exposure. Upon arrival, it was determined that at approximately 8:23 p.m., the victim was inside a business when she observed the suspect rubbing his genitals. The suspect is described as a Black male, bald, with a gray beard wearing a black t-shirt, jeans and a silver chain. The investigation is ongoing.
GRAND LARCENY AUTO (Significant), 2021-03140081, 1000 block of Wilson Boulevard. At approximately 12:40 p.m. on March 14, police were dispatched to a grand larceny auto. Upon arrival, it was determined the victim was unloading items from her parked vehicle when the unknown female suspect approached, entered the vehicle and drove off. The victim observed the vehicle return a short time later with a male passenger. Suspect One is described as a Black female, 5'08" — 5'10" tall with an average build. She was wearing a blue ball cap, black puffy coat and had orange or yellow dyed hair. Suspect Two is described as a Black male, 5'11" — 6'01" tall with a thin build. He was wearing a black puffy coat and navy blue cargo pants. The investigation is ongoing.
LARCENY FROM AUTO (Series), 2021-03130069, 4700 block of 20th Road N. At approximately 7:14 a.m. on March 13, police were dispatched to the report of a larceny from auto. Upon arrival, it was determined an unknown suspect(s) forced entry into nine Honda vehicles and stole the airbags. There is no suspect(s) description. The investigation is ongoing.
BURGLARY (late), 2021-03120197, 1400 block of Patrick Henry Drive. At approximately 8:00 p.m. on March 12, police were dispatched to the late report of a breaking and entering. Upon arrival, it was determined that the known subject allegedly entered the victim's residence and stole clothes and electronics. The investigation is ongoing.
BURGLARY, 2021-03124002, 4600 block of S. Four Mile Run Drive. An officers processing an online crime report for larceny determined the incident was a burglary of a residence. Between noon and midnight on March 11, an unknown suspect gained entry to the victim's residence and stole cash and various personal items. There is no suspect description. The investigation is ongoing.
