REPORTS

ROBBERY, 2021-03060163, 1200 block of S. Hayes Street. At approximately 6:41 p.m. on March 6, police were dispatched to the report of a disorderly subject inside a business. Upon arrival, it was determined that an employee confronted the suspect after allegedly observing him enter the store for a second time and conceal merchandise. A struggle ensued and the suspect threatened the employee as he fled the scene. The employee pointed out the suspect to arriving officers who took him into custody as he boarded a bus. During a search incident to arrest, officers located narcotics on his person. Arvid Thomas, 44, of Washington D.C. was arrested and charged with Robbery, Possession of Schedule I/II Controlled Substance and Obstruction of Justice. He was served with two outstanding warrants from Fairfax County. He was held on no bond.

BURGLARY, 2021-03060089, 700 block of N. Wayne Street. At approximately 10:04 a.m. on March 6, police were dispatched to the report of a burglary. Upon arrival, it was determined that an unknown suspect(s) gained entry to a closed office inside a residential building and stole electronics. There is no suspect(s) description. The investigation is ongoing.
