REPORTS

ASSAULT & BATTERY ON POLICE, 2021-05270111, 1400 block of S. Hayes Street. At approximately 1:45 p.m. on May 27, police were dispatched to the report of disorderly conduct. While on the phone with dispatch, the reporting party advised that the female suspect was allegedly inside the business opening merchandise, refusing to leave and threatened staff about having a weapon. The arriving officer located the suspect who was uncooperative, refused to follow commands and claimed to have a firearm in her pocket. While taking her into custody, the suspect resisted arrest and struck the officer multiple times. Following a brief struggle, the suspect was taken into custody. Laresha Reed, 40, of No Fixed Address, was arrested and charged with Assault & Battery on Police, Obstruction of Justice, and Disorderly Conduct.

ROBBERY, 2021-05270157, 800 block of S. Dinwiddie Street. At approximately 4:59 p.m. on May 27, police were dispatched to the report of an assault just occurred. Upon arrival, it was determined that the victim was asked by the known male suspect for money. After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect then rummaged through the victim's purse, took personal property and pushed her with both of his hands when she attempted to intervene. The suspect fled the scene on foot prior to police arrival. A warrant for Robbery was obtained for the suspect.

BRANDISHING, 2021-05270163, 5800 block of 16th Street N. At approximately 5:26 p.m. on May 27, police were dispatched to the report of a brandishing. Upon arrival, it was determined that the male suspect was in a vehicle when he approached the victim about his parked vehicle. A verbal dispute over parking ensued during which the suspect threatened to pull out a gun before reaching down and brandishing a firearm. The suspect then fled the scene in a gray Ford Explorer. No injuries were reported. The suspect is described as a White male, approximately 50 — 60 years old, with gray buzzed-cut hair, wearing sunglasses and a gray or blue stripped shirt. The investigation is ongoing.

BURGLARY, 2021-05280029, 6000 block of Wilson Boulevard. At approximately 3:14 a.m. on May 28, police were dispatched to the report of an audible alarm. Upon arrival, it was determined that at approximately 2:37 a.m., the unknown suspect exited a white sedan that was parked in the area and forced entry into the business. No items were reported stolen. A search of the business and surrounding area was conducted with negative results. The suspect is described as a tall unknown race/sex individual with a medium build, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with a white undershirt, dark colored jeans, dark shoes, gloves and a face mask. The investigation is ongoing.
