REPORTS
PEEPING, 2021-05060205, 800 block of S. Frederick Street. At approximately 10:27 p.m. on May 6, police were dispatched to the report of a suspect looking into an apartment window. The responding officer walked behind the building and observed a male suspect standing between air conditioning units. Upon seeing the officer, the suspect fled on foot. During a brief foot pursuit, the officer lost sight of the suspect. A perimeter was established and the area was searched with negative results. The suspect is described as a Black male, approximately 6'0" tall and 150 lbs. He was wearing a black hoodie with the hood up and skinny black sweatpants. The investigation is ongoing.
BURGLARY, 2021-05060120, 500 block of 12
th Street S. At approximately 2:32 p.m. on May 6, police were dispatched to the report of a trespasser. Upon arrival, it was determined that the known female suspect allegedly gained access to the male victim's unoccupied residence. When he returned, he found the residence had been rummaged through, his firearm was on the bed and he located the suspect in a closet. She then ran and retrieved his firearm. A brief struggle ensued during which, the victim was able to disarm the suspect and recover the firearm. The suspect fled the scene with a bag stolen from the residence prior to the arrival of police. The stolen bag was later recovered. Warrants for Burglary, Grand Larceny and Brandishing a Firearm were obtained for the suspect.
