REPORTS

MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 2021-11190019, 4400 block of 31st Street S. At approximately 1:21 a.m. on November 19, police were dispatched to the report of an assault with injury. Upon arrival, it was determined that an employee of the residential building discovered that the laundry room had been locked and upon opening it, discovered the unknown male suspect inside. The suspect produced a knife and struck the victim’s hand, causing a laceration. The suspect then fled the scene on foot. Arriving officers canvased the area with negative results. The victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, wearing a black jacket, black beanie, and black shoes. The investigation is ongoing.

ROBBERY, 2021-11180158, 1200 block of S. Hayes Street. At approximately 4:40 p.m. on November 18, police were dispatched to the report of an armed robbery. Upon arrival, it was determined that a store employee observed the male suspect enter the business, conceal  merchandise in his bag, and exit without paying. The employee confronted the suspect outside and he continued to walk away. The employee then contacted dispatch and followed the suspect for a short distance before the suspect turned around, verbally threatened him and implied he had a weapon. The suspect then struck the employee in the head before fleeing the scene on foot. The suspect is described as a Black male with a thin build, approximately 35 – 40 years old, 6’0” – 6’2”, wearing a dark blue and white baseball hat, a dark blue jacket, a long black coat, blue jeans and black shoes. The investigation is ongoing.

SEXUAL BATTERY, 2021-11180183, 1500 block of Wilson Boulevard. At approximately 6:36 p.m. on November 18, police were dispatched to the report of a sexual battery. Upon arrival, it was determined that the female victim was walking in the area when the unknown male suspect rode past her on an e-scooter and touched her buttocks. The suspect is described as a Black male with a medium build and salt and pepper hair, wearing all black clothing and a backpack. The investigation is ongoing.

PEEPING, 2021-11170188, 4500 block of 31st Street S. At approximately 8:44 p.m. on November 17, police were dispatched to the report of a peeping. Upon arrival, it was determined that a witness observed the unknown male suspect looking into the victim’s window. The witness confronted the suspect and he fled the scene on foot prior to the arrival of police. Arriving officers canvased the area with negative results. The suspect is described as a short Hispanic male, approximately in his 30’s, wearing a dark sweater, shorts and flip flops. The investigation is ongoing.
