Comments are welcome on Arlington’s proposed $3.9 billion FY 2023–2032 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) during a County Board public hearing on Tuesday, June 28, 2022.  The public hearing will begin at 7 p.m. and those interested may register to speak in person or virtually by visiting the County Board website.

The public hearing will be livestreamed on the County website and Arlington Television's YouTube channel and broadcast on Verizon FiOs channels 39 and 40 as well as Comcast Xfinity channel 25.

The FY 2023–2032 CIP returns to a traditional 10-year plan after a three-year CIP in FY 2022–2024 and a one-year CIP in FY 2021—both adjusted as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. The CIP proposal outlines investments for storm water management and flood response, climate and environmental programs, parks, transportation, community infrastructure and more.

To view proposed investments across the County, see the new CIP interactive project map. Visitors can filter projects by program, category, status and associated master plan. To provide insight on County investments by demographics, an overlay of the 2020 Census Tracts have been included.

The Proposed FY 2023–FY 2032 CIP webpage includes both the complete proposal document and separated by sections for a more interactive experience.

Next Steps

The County Board will hold a wrap-up work session with the County Manager on the Proposed CIP on Thurs., July 14, at 4 p.m. The Board will adopt the FY 2023–FY 2032 CIP at its July County Board Meeting.
