REPORTS
MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 2022-04140031, 700 block of S. Glebe Road. At approximately 2:24 a.m. on April 14, police were dispatched to the report of an assault that had just occurred. Upon arrival, it was determined the two victims and known suspect were in a vehicle when they became involved in a verbal dispute, during which the suspect allegedly produced a knife. The parties then exited the vehicle and the suspect struck one victim and placed the other in a chokehold. Arriving officers located the suspect and took him into custody. Trevor Parker, 21, of Alexandria, VA was arrested and charged with Drunk in Public, Obstruction, Assault and Battery, Strangulation and Attempted Malicious Wounding.
SHOTS FIRED, 2022-04130237, 4500 block of N. Carlin Springs Road. At approximately 9:47 p.m. on April 13, police were dispatched to the area of N. Park Drive and N. Carlin Springs Road for the report of shots fired. Upon arrival, officers located evidence confirming multiple shots had been fired in the area. While on scene investigating, a resident in the 4500 block of N. Carlin Springs reported a bullet had entered their home through a window. No injuries were reported. There is no suspect description. The investigation is ongoing.
WEAPONS VIOLATION (Late), 2022-04130206, 4400 block of Henderson Road. At approximately 7:06 p.m. on April 13, police were dispatched to the late report of a weapons violation. Upon arrival, it was determined that at approximately 5:40 p.m., the reporting party was in the area when he observed the four juvenile subjects in the parking lot. One of the subjects then lifted his shirt to reveal what was believed to be a firearm in his waistband. The group then began passing the object around before fleeing the scene on foot. The subjects are described as Hispanic males, approximately 14 to 17 years old. The investigation is ongoing.
BURGLARY/GRAND LARCENY AUTO (Late), 2022-04130063, 2300 block of S. Joyce Street. At approximately 7:52 a.m. on April 13, police were dispatched to the late report of a stolen vehicle. Upon arrival, it was determined that between approximately 11:30 p.m. on April 12 and 7:00 a.m. on April 13, the unknown suspect(s) entered into the victim’s residence and stole the keys to her vehicle. No other items were reported stolen. Responding officers canvassed the area for the vehicle with negative results. The vehicle is described as a white in color, 2017 Mazda 6 bearing VI license plate CG0386. The investigation is ongoing.
ATTEMPTED BURGLARY (Late), 2022-04130053, 1400 block of 28th Street S. At approximately 6:43 a.m. on April 13, police were dispatched to the late report of an attempted breaking and entering. Upon arrival, it was determined that at approximately 3:00 a.m., the victim awoke to a noise outside of her window and went to investigate. The victim observed the unknown suspect outside, beside the window. The victim yelled and the suspect fled the scene on foot. Upon exiting the residence later that morning, the victim noticed two of her window screens had been tampered with and removed. No entry was believed to have been made inside the residence. There is no suspect description. The investigation is ongoing.
DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY (Significant) (Late), 2022-04130083, 1100 block of N. Glebe Road. At approximately 9:23 a.m. on April 13, police were dispatched to the late report of a destruction of property. Upon arrival, it was determined that at approximately 8:44 a.m., the unknown suspect approached the business and threw rocks at the building, causing damage and breaking two of the exterior windows. The suspect then fled the scene on foot. The suspect is described as a Black male, approximately 25 to 35 years old, 5’10” to 6’3”, and 180 pounds. The investigation is ongoing.
ASSAULT & BATTERY (Significant), 2022-04130195, 2900 block of S. Glebe Road. At approximately 3:46 p.m. on April 13, police were dispatched to the report of trouble unknown. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the reporting party who advised she had observed a vehicle traveling in the area while the passenger discharged a pellet gun at pedestrians. A short time later, a victim contacted the Emergency Communications Center and reported being struck by the pellets and declined medical attention. Officers canvassed the area, located the suspect vehicle, conducted a traffic stop and identified the occupants. The victim declined prosecution at the time and the investigation is ongoing.
