REPORTS
BURGLARY, 2022-08230209, 2300 block of 11th Street N. At approximately 6:06 p.m. on August 23, police were dispatched to the report of a burglary. Upon further investigation, it was determined a known individual entered the victim’s unlocked, unoccupied residence and allegedly stole property as well as caused property damage. Warrants for Burglary, Destruction of Property and Petit Larceny were obtained. The investigation is ongoing.
ATTEMPTED BURGLARY, 2022-08230241, 1000 block of S. Frederick Street. At approximately 9:45 p.m. on August 23, police were dispatched to the report of a dispute. Upon arrival, it was determined the known suspect knocked on the victim's door and when she opened it, he allegedly attempted to force entry inside while making verbal threats to the occupants. Officers took the suspect into custody without incident. No injuries were reported. Kevin Carter, 26, of Woodbridge, VA was arrested and charged with Attempted Burglary with Intent to Commit Assault and Battery. He was held on bond.
