REPORTS
BURGLARY, 2022-01110188, 500 block of N. Edison Street. At approximately 4:38 p.m. on January 11, police were dispatched to the report of suspicious circumstances. Upon arrival, it was determined the known suspect allegedly gained entry to the victim’s home. When the victim returned to the residence, he confronted the suspect and asked him to leave, which the suspect refused. The victim exited the residence when police arrived on scene and the suspect followed and was subsequently taken into custody by the responding officers. During the course of the investigation, officers recovered suspected narcotics. No items were reported stolen from the home. The suspect was transported to booking where he exposed himself to law enforcement. Matthew Saunders, 34, of Woodbridge, Va. was arrested and charged with Burglary, Indecent Exposure, Possession of Schedule I/II Substances and Trespassing.
UNLAWFUL ENTRY, 2023-01110159, 5800 block of Washington Boulevard. At approximately 2:27 p.m. on January 11, police were dispatched to the report of a trespassing. Upon arrival, it was determined the victim was inside his residence when he observed the unknown male suspect in his backyard, allegedly looking through a window into the home. Responding officers located the suspect in the area and took him into custody without incident. During a search of his person incident to arrest, officers recovered a burglarious tool. Steven Eisen, 75, of Silver Spring, Md. Was arrested and charged with Unlawful Entry and Possession of Burglarious Tools.
