REPORTS
ASSAULT ON POLICE, 2023-01220177, 1500 block of Wilson Boulevard. At approximately 5:24 p.m. on January 22, police were in the area on a separate call for service when a lookout was broadcast for a suspect in a larceny in progress. The officers observed the suspect walking in the area and took him into custody. The investigation determined the suspect entered a business, allegedly concealed merchandise in his bag and left without paying. During a search of his person and property incident to arrest, the suspect kicked an officer. Mikhail Porter, 34, of Washington, DC, was arrested and charged with Assault and Battery on Police and Petit Larceny. He was held without bond.
MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 2023-01230015, 5000 block of 8th Road S. At approximately 1:28 a.m. on January 23, police were dispatched to the report of a stabbing. Upon arrival, officers located the victim who had sustained serious, non-life threatening injuries and rendered aid until the arrival of medics, during which he was transported to an area hospital for treatment. Additionally, responding officers located the suspect on scene and took him into custody without incident. The investigation determined the victim and known suspect were inside the victim’s residence when they became involved in a dispute, during which the suspect allegedly struck him with a knife. Brandon Vicente Hernandez, 24, of Arlington, Va., was arrested and charged with Malicious Wounding. He was held without bond.
ASSAULT BY MOB, 2023-01210248, Unit block of N. Glebe Road. At approximately 8:49 p.m. on January 21, police were dispatched to the report of a fight. Upon arrival, it was determined the female juvenile victim was inside a business when she became involved in a verbal dispute with a group of unknown juvenile suspects. During the dispute, several members of the group physically assaulted the victim before a witness told the group to disperse and they fled the scene on foot. The victim sustained minor injuries and was treated on scene by medics. The juvenile suspects are described as approximately four to six Black females wearing black hoodies. The investigation is ongoing.
ROBBERY, 2023-01210232, 3000 block of Washington Boulevard. At approximately 7:31 p.m. on January 21, police were dispatched to the report of a robbery by force. Upon arrival, it was determined the suspect entered the business, became agitated with an employee and implied a weapon. The suspect then took several boxes of cigarettes and attempted to strike the employee before fleeing the scene on foot. Responding officers canvassed the area for the suspect yielding negative results. The suspect is described as a Black male, approximately 6’0, wearing a black hoodie, gray pants and a tan beanie. The investigation is ongoing.
PEEPING, 2023-01220194, 700 block of N. Fillmore Street. At approximately 7:36 p.m. on January 22, police were dispatched to the report of a suspicious person. Upon arrival, it was determined the unknown suspect approached the victims’ front door and knocked. The suspect then walked around to the victims’ backyard and peered into the back glass door. The victim yelled and the suspect fled the scene on foot. The suspect is described as a White male wearing a hat. The investigation is ongoing.
SEXUAL BATTERY (Late), 2023-01200117, 1900 block of N. Lynn Street. At approximately 10:28 a.m. on January 20, police were dispatched to the late report of an assault. Upon arrival, it was determined approximately one hour prior, the unknown male suspect approached the female victim and asked for directions. During the course of the incident, the suspect hugged the victim before touching her inappropriately. The suspect then left the area on foot. The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, approximately 5’0”-5’1” with a larger build, wearing a dark coat, jeans, and a winter hat. The investigation is ongoing.
