REPORTS
ASSAULT AND BATTERY (Significant), 2022-05190186, 2400 block of S. Lowell Street. At approximately 3:52 p.m. on May 19, police were dispatched to a report of an assault. Upon arrival, it was determined that the suspect’s vehicle was in the process of being towed when he confronted the Public Safety Aid (PSA). During the confrontation, the suspect allegedly threatened the PSA before physically pushing him. Responding officers took the suspect into custody without incident. Tyayre Evan Reynolds, 20, of Arlington, VA was arrested and charged with Assault and Battery. He was released on his own recognizance and unsecured bond.
ROBBERY (late), 2022-05190169, 1500 block of N. Queen Street. At approximately 3:42 p.m. on May 19, an officer was dispatched to the police department for the late report of a robbery. Upon arrival, it was determined that on May 4, the juvenile male victim was inside a common area within a residential building when the two known juvenile male suspects approached, allegedly held knives to him and demanded money. The victim provided an undisclosed amount of money and the suspects threatened him before fleeing the scene on foot. The investigation determined the suspects had brandished knives and unsuccessfully attempted to rob the victim twice earlier on that date. The investigation is ongoing.
LARCENY FROM AUTO, DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY (Series), 2022-05190065/05190073/05190098, 800 block of N. Lincoln Street. At approximately 8:34 a.m. on May 19, police were dispatched to the report of a destruction of property. Upon arrival, it was determined that between 11:00 p.m. on May 18 and 6:00 a.m. on May 19, the unknown suspect(s) smashed the windows to nine vehicles and stolen items of value from two of the involved vehicles. There is no suspect(s) description. The investigation is ongoing.
