REPORTS

ATTEMPTED MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 2023-04170193, 5000 block of 7th Road S. At approximately 5:40 p.m. on April 17, police were dispatched to the report of trouble unknown. The investigation determined the suspect was inside a residence when he allegedly became agitated, brandished a knife and made threatening statements. Arriving officers advised all other occupants to exit the residence. Officers then made contact with the suspect, gave him commands to drop the knife which he complied with and took him into custody without incident. Gerardo Jimenez Paz, 42, was arrested and charged with Attempted Malicious Wounding.

ROBBERY, 2023-04170256, 2000 block of Clarendon Boulevard. At approximately 11:41 p.m. on April 17, police were dispatched to the report of a robbery by force. Upon arrival, it was determined three male suspects entered the business, selected merchandise and exited the store without payment during which the suspects pushed an employee. The suspects fled the scene in a white SUV. Suspect One is described as a Black male, approximately 6’0”, wearing a black hoodie, blue jeans and a mask. Suspect Two is described as a Black male, approximately 6’2”, wearing a gray hoodie, gray shorts and black sneakers. Suspect Three is described as a Black male, approximately 5’8”, wearing a black hat, gray jacket, black pants and black sneakers. No injuries were reported. The investigation is ongoing.
