REPORTS

CARJACKING, 2023-07250027, 2300 block of S. Eads Street. At approximately 3:08 a.m. on July 25, police were dispatched to the report of a stolen vehicle. Upon arrival, it was determined the victim was parking his vehicle when the suspect vehicle approached, four male suspects exited, brandished firearms and demanded the keys to the victim’s vehicle. The suspect vehicle, a dark-colored sedan, then fled the scene followed by the suspects driving the victim’s stolen vehicle. No injuries were reported. The suspects are described as four Black males, approximately 5’8”-5’10” wearing dark-colored hoodies and masks. The victim’s vehicle is described as a blue 2014 BMW 320i with Michigan license plate ERL5493. The investigation is ongoing.

MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 2023-07240041, 100 block of N. Wayne Street. At approximately 4:35 a.m. on July 24, police were dispatched to the report of trouble unknown. Upon arrival, officers located the male victim suffering lacerations. He was transported to an area hospital with injuries considered non-life threatening. The preliminary investigation indicates a verbal dispute between a group of male subjects occurred inside the residence which escalated into a physical altercation. The investigation into the events is ongoing.

ROBBERY, 2023-07240040, 400 block of 12th Street S. At approximately 4:32 a.m. on July 24, police were dispatched to the report of a robbery by force. Upon arrival, it was determined the male victim was outside a residential building when the suspect vehicle approached and four to five juvenile male suspects exited and assaulted him. The suspects stole his cell phone, an undisclosed amount of cash and a wallet containing credit cards from his person before fleeing the scene in a silver sedan. The victim was evaluated by medics on scene for his injuries. Responding officers canvassed the area for the suspects yielding negative results. The suspects are described as four to five Black males who are approximately 14-18 years old. The investigation is ongoing.
