REPORTS

ROBBERY, 2023-06220208, 1200 block of S. Scott Street. At approximately 3:27 p.m. on June 22, police were dispatched to the report of a robbery by force. Upon arrival, it was determined the known suspect approached the victim from behind, allegedly struck her and stole her cell phone. A struggle ensued over the cell phone during which the suspect fled the scene and discarded the cell phone. Responding officers located the suspect in the area and he was taken into custody without incident. The cell phone was recovered and the victim sustained minor injuries and declined medical attention on scene. Tony Pyles, 32, of Arlington, Va. was arrested and charged with Robbery and Assault and Battery. He was held without bond.
