REPORTS
RECKLESS HANDLING OF A FIREARM, 2023-05210005, 4100 block of Fairfax Drive. At approximately 12:12 a.m. on May 21, police were dispatched to the report of a person with a gun inside a business. Upon arrival, it was determined the suspect became engaged in a verbal dispute with the victims, during which he allegedly brandished a firearm. The suspect left the scene on foot, was located by responding officers and taken into custody without incident. A search of his person incident to arrest yielded a firearm. The victims did not remain on scene and no injuries were reported. William Agudelo, 32, of Arlington, Va. was arrested and charged with Reckless Handling of a Firearm, Public Intoxication and Carrying a Concealed Weapon While Intoxicated.
RECKLESS HANDLING OF A FIREARM, 2023-05210013, 3100 block of Clarendon Boulevard. At approximately 1:00 a.m. on May 21, police were dispatched to the report of disorderly conduct. Upon arrival, it was determined the male suspect became involved in a verbal dispute with the victim, during which he allegedly knocked the suspect’s hat off of his head and implied he had a weapon. As responding officers attempted to detain the suspect, he ran from the area and discarded what appeared to be a firearm before being taken into custody. A search of the area yielded a loaded firearm. No injuries were reported. Daquoi Moore, 21, of Arlington, Va. was arrested and charged with Reckless Handling of a Firearm, Assault and Battery, Drunk in Public and Obstruction of Justice.
ASSAULT ON POLICE/DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY, 2023-05190086/2023-05190088, 200 block of S. Wise Street/2300 block of Columbia Pike. At approximately 9:00 a.m. on May 19, police were dispatched to the 1900 block of Columbia Pike for the report of an assault just occurred. Upon arrival, it was determined the victim was walking in the area when the suspect approached and allegedly punched him before fleeing the area. A short time later, police were dispatched to the report of a male suspect tampering with a vehicle in the 2300 block of Columbia Pike and the individual matched the suspect description in the first incident. Responding officers located the suspect in the area of 2nd Street S. and S. Wise Street and while attempting to take him into custody, he spit in an officer’s face. The suspect was transported to an area hospital for medical treatment. Richard Howard, 32, of Falls Church, Va., was arrested and charged with Assault on Police, Assault and Battery and Destruction of Property.
MISSILE INTO AN OCCUPIED DWELLING, 2023-05210169, 2000 block of Wilson Boulevard. At approximately 4:13 p.m. on May 21, police were dispatched to the report of disorderly conduct. Upon arrival, it was determined three unknown juvenile suspects discharged gel pellets inside a business, striking one victim. No injuries were reported. The suspects fled the scene on foot and responding officers canvassed the area for the suspects yielding negative results. Suspect One is described as a White male with blonde hair wearing a red t-shirt, white shorts and white shoes. Suspect Two is described as a Hispanic male with brown hair wearing a blue t-shirt, white shorts, white shoes and a black backpack. Suspect Three is described as a Hispanic male with black hair wearing a black t-shirt and gray shorts. The investigation is ongoing.
INDECENT EXPOSURE, 2023-05190170, 2800 block of S. Randolph Street. At approximately 1:23 p.m. on May 19, police were dispatched to the report of an exposure. Upon arrival, it was determined the female victim entered a parking garage and observed the unknown suspect expose himself. The suspect is described as a White male in his mid-to-late 20s, 6’0” tall with wavy brown hair and a beard. He was wearing black shorts and a blue t-shirt. The investigation is ongoing.
LARCENY FROM AUTO (Series), 2023-05210011, 1300 block of N. Fort Myer Drive. At approximately 12:44 a.m. on May 21, police were dispatched to a vehicle tampering. Upon arrival, it was determined the reporting party observed three men in their 20’s breaking into vehicles. When she yelled out to them, they fled the scene in a gray sedan. During the course of the investigation, it was determined approximately 20 parked vehicles in the Radnor/Ft. Myer Heights, Rosslyn and Colonial Village neighborhoods had a window shattered and an air bag stolen. The involved vehicles are Honda models. The investigation is ongoing.
ATTEMPTED BURGLARY, 2023-05210026, 1500 block of 12th Street N. At approximately 1:44 a.m. on May 21, police were dispatched to the report of an attempted burglary. Upon arrival, it was determined the victims were awoken to noise and observed an unknown suspect open a window to the residence. One victim yelled and the suspect fled the scene. Responding officers canvassed the area yielding negative results. There is no suspect description(s). The investigation is ongoing.
LARCENY FROM AUTO (Series) (Late), 2023-05190101, 4700 block of 20th Road N. At approximately 9:57 a.m. on May 19, police were dispatched to the late report of a larceny from auto. Upon arrival, it was determined between approximately 10:00 p.m. on May 18 and 7:30 a.m. on May 19, the unknown suspect(s) stole the glass from the sideview mirrors of four vehicles and damaged the glass of the sideview mirror of a fifth vehicle. No other items were reported damaged or stolen. There is no suspect(s) description. The investigation is ongoing.
ATTEMPTED BURGLARY (Late), 2023-05190230, 1200 block of N. Queen Street. At approximately 4:47 p.m. on May 19, police were dispatched to the late report of an attempted breaking and entering. Upon arrival, it was determined the resident observed damage around their window. There is no suspect description(s). The investigation is ongoing.
