REPORTS
VEHICLE TAMPERING, 2024-04180069, 3900 block of Fairfax Drive. At approximately 10:21 a.m. on April 18, police were dispatched to the report of a vehicle tampering. The preliminary investigation indicates the suspect entered an unoccupied parked vehicle, rummaged through the interior and stole items. A lookout for the suspect was broadcast and responding officers located him and, following a brief foot pursuit, took him into custody at Washington Boulevard and N. Quincy Street. The stolen items and suspected narcotics and paraphernalia were recovered. Ahmed Fahmi, 36, of Arlington, VA was arrested and charged with Petit Larceny, Possession of Burglarious Tools, Possession of a Schedule I/II Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was held on no bond.
ROBBERY, 2024-04180087, 3300 block of Wilson Boulevard. At approximately 10:30 a.m. on April 18, police were dispatched to the report of a suspicious person. Upon arrival, it was determined the unknown suspect entered the business and allegedly began to collect items before an employee verbally confronted him. The suspect exited the store with stolen items before returning, stealing additional items and making threatening statements towards the employees. The suspect is described as a Black male, 20 – 35 years old, approximately 6’0” tall and wearing a red and blue hoodie, ripped jeans and a black hat. The investigation is ongoing.
ATTEMPTED UNLAWFUL ENTRY, 2024-04180136, 600 block of N. Quincy Street. At approximately 1:49 p.m. on April 18, police were dispatched to the report of a suspicious person. Upon arrival, it was determined the unknown male suspect allegedly attempted to enter several hotel rooms. Responding officers canvassed the area for the suspect yielding negative results. The suspect is described as a Black male, approximately 5’11 – 6’0” tall. The investigation is ongoing.
