REPORTS
MALICIOUS WOUNDING BY MOB, 2024-04280043, 5600 block of 8th Street S. At approximately 4:12 a.m. on April 28, police were dispatched to the report of a fight. Upon arrival, it was determined the male victim and two male suspects, who are acquaintances, were outside a residence when the suspects allegedly assaulted the victim and attempted to steal his jewelry before fleeing the scene on foot. The victim sustained serious, non-life threatening injuries and was transported to an area hospital. On the morning of April 29, officers obtained warrants for the two suspects, who were subsequently taken into custody. Jose Osorio, 28, of Arlington, Va. and Jason Osorio, 32, of Arlington, Va. were arrested and charged with Malicious Wounding by Mob and Attempted Robbery.
ROBBERY, 2024-04260225, 1000 block of S. Hayes Street. At approximately 6:16 p.m. on April 26, police were dispatched to the report of a robbery by force. Upon arrival, it was determined three juvenile female suspects entered the business, concealed merchandise and attempted to leave without payment when loss prevention personnel confronted them. One suspect then struck loss prevention personnel with merchandise before the group discarded the stolen items and fled the store. The group briefly returned to the business, during which one suspect was detained by loss prevention. No injuries were reported. Responding officers located the remaining suspects in the area and detained them. A petition for one juvenile female suspect was obtained for Robbery. The investigation is ongoing.
MISSILE INTO OCCUPIED VEHICLE, 2024-04290018, Washington Boulevard at N. Kirkwood Road. At approximately 2:26 a.m. on April 29, the male victim approached an officer to report suspicious circumstances. The preliminary investigation indicates the male victim and male suspect, who are acquaintances, were involved in a verbal dispute during which the suspect threw a water bottle from his vehicle at the victim’s vehicle. The suspect then fled the scene in his vehicle. The investigation is ongoing.
PEEPING, 2024-04290010, 2000 block of Columbia Pike. At approximately 1:05 a.m. on April 29, police were dispatched to the report of peeping. Upon arrival, it was determined the female victim was inside her residence when she observed the male suspect looking into a window of the home. The suspect subsequently fled the scene on foot. Responding officers canvassed the area for the suspect yielding negative results. The suspect is described as a Black male, approximately 40-50 years old, 5’8”, wearing all dark clothing and carrying a cell phone. The investigation is ongoing.
ATTEMPTED ROBBERY, 2024-04260202, 1700 block of N. Lynn Street. At approximately 3:55 p.m. on April 26, police were dispatched to the report of a robbery by force. Upon arrival, it was determined the male suspect entered the store and engaged employees in conversation before he went behind the counter and attempted to take food items during which employees confronted him. The suspect then pushed two employees before exiting the business and fleeing the scene on foot. No injuries were reported. The suspect is described as a thin-build Black male in his late 20’s or early 30’s, approximately 5’6”-5’8”, wearing a black hoodie, blue jeans, black shoes and a gray hat. The investigation is ongoing.
