REPORTS
PEEPING, 2024-04290229, 2000 block of Columbia Pike. At approximately 9:27 p.m. on April 29, police were dispatched to the report of peeping. Upon arrival, it was determined the female victim was inside her residence when she observed the male suspect allegedly looking into a window of the home before leaving the scene on foot. A lookout was broadcast and officers canvassed the area for the suspect. Officers subsequently located an individual matching the description of the suspect in the 1500 block of Columbia Pike and took him into custody. During the course of the investigation, it was determined the suspect had been observed peeping earlier in the day (Case # 2024-04290010). Herbert Otey, 60, of No Fixed Address was arrested and charged with Peeping 3+ Offenses within 10 Years (x2).
BRANDISHING, 2024-04290213, 2000 block of Columbia Pike. At approximately 7:33 p.m. on April 29, police were dispatched to the report of a brandishing. Upon arrival, it was determined the female victim was driving when she was involved in a near collision with the suspect vehicle, described as a white sedan. The suspect vehicle then pulled alongside the victim’s vehicle at a red light and the passenger, described as a Black female in her 20’s, rolled down the window and began yelling at the victim. The passenger then threw a beverage towards the victim’s vehicle and brandished what appeared to be a firearm. The suspect vehicle then left the area. No injuries were reported. The investigation is ongoing.
ROBBERY, 2024-04270201, 5000 block of Chesterfield Road. At approximately 7:05 p.m. on April 27, police were dispatched to the report of a robbery by force. Upon arrival, it was determined the juvenile male victim was inside a business when the three male suspects approached and demanded his personal property and cash. One suspect stole money from the victim before exiting the store with the other suspects, entering a white SUV and fleeing the scene. The suspects are described as Hispanic males. The investigation is ongoing.
ROBBERY, 2024-04290192, 1300 block of S. Joyce Street. At approximately 6:12 p.m. on April 29, police were dispatched to an assault with injury. Upon arrival, it was determined six female suspects received beauty services at the business. Suspect One approached the counter and engaged an employee in conversation during which the five remaining suspects quickly exited the store without payment. Suspect One then attempted to leave the business and was confronted by two employees. A physical altercation ensued and Suspect One subsequently left the store and fled the area with the other suspects. The employees sustained minor injuries and did not require medical attention. Responding officers canvassed the area for the suspects yielding negative results. The suspects are described as Black females. The investigation is ongoing.
UNLAWFUL ENTRY (late), 2024-04260146, 4000 block of Wilson Boulevard. On April 26, police received an online report for a late breaking and entering. Upon arrival, it was determined the victim returned home and located property not belonging to her inside. No items were reported stolen and there is no suspect description(s). The investigation is ongoing.
UNLAWFUL ENTRY (late), 2024-04260160, 2900 block of S. Glebe Road. On April 26, police received an online report for a late breaking and entering. The preliminary investigation indicates between approximately 9:45 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. on April 21, the unknown suspect(s) made entry into the female victim’s home before leaving the scene. No items were reported stolen and there is no suspect description(s). The investigation is ongoing.
