REPORTS

ROBBERY, 2024-07230054, 300 block of N. George Mason Drive. At approximately 9:45 a.m. on July 23, police were dispatched to the report of a dispute. Upon arrival, it was determined the female victim was inside a residential building when the male suspect, who is known to her, entered and engaged her in conversation. The suspect subsequently assaulted the victim, stole her personal belongings and exited the building. The victim then confronted the suspect outside and the suspect stole the victim’s phone and threw it on the ground, causing damage, before fleeing the scene in a white sedan. No injuries were reported. During the course of the investigation, officers identified the suspect and obtained warrants for Robbery, Assault and Battery and Destruction of Property. The investigation is ongoing.  

ATTEMPTED UNLAWFUL ENTRY, 2024-07230020, 6000 block of Wilson Boulevard. At approximately 6:53 a.m. on July 23, police were dispatched to the report of an attempted breaking and entering. Upon arrival, it was determined a witness observed the male suspect attempt to enter a secured building on the property before leaving the scene on foot. No items were reported stolen or damaged. Responding officers canvassed the area for the suspect yielding negative results. The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, approximately 30-40 years old wearing a red shirt, black pants and brown shoes. The investigation is ongoing.
