REPORTS
BRANDISHING, 2024-03260016, Unit block of N. Glebe Road. At approximately 1:04 a.m. on March 26, police were dispatched to the report of a brandishing. Upon arrival, it was determined the male suspect and victim were inside the victim’s vehicle when they became engaged in a verbal dispute. The suspect exited the vehicle and began to walk away during which he allegedly brandished a firearm at the victim and proceeded to leave the area on foot. No injuries were reported. Responding officers established a perimeter, located an individual matching the description of the suspect in the 200 block of N. Trenton Street and detained him. Jerrell Copeland, 34, of Arlington, Va. was arrested and charged with Brandishing, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, Public Intoxication and Carrying a Concealed Firearm while Under the Influence of Alcohol. He was held without bond.
BURGLARY, 2024-03250061, 2300 block of N. Powhatan Street. At approximately 8:27 a.m. on March 25, police were dispatched to the report of suspicious circumstances. Upon arrival, it was determined two female suspects forced entry into the vacant home and stole undetermined items before leaving the scene in a black sedan. During the course of the investigation, the suspect was identified and a warrant for her arrest was obtained. She was subsequently taken into custody by Fairfax County Police and transferred to the custody of Arlington County Police. Vivian Vann, 52, of Arlington, Va. was charged with Burglary and Unlawful Entry.
