REPORTS
THREATS, 2024-05290153, 4300 block of Lorcom Lane. At approximately 2:46 p.m. on May 29, police were dispatched to the report of a possible dispute inside a residence. Upon arrival, it was determined the male suspect allegedly threw items from his balcony into the parking lot. Responding officers attempted to make contact with the suspect who remained inside the residence. During the course of the incident, officers confirmed the suspect was the sole occupant of the residence and observed the suspect expose himself on the balcony and make threats to burn the building. Additional police resources from the Emergency Response Team, including negotiators, responded to assist with the investigation. At approximately 11:00 p.m., officers took the suspect into custody. Isaac Meals, 37, of Arlington, VA was arrested and charged with Threats to Burn and Indecent Exposure. He was held without bond.
ROBBERY, 2024-05290148, 1800 block of N. Moore Street. At approximately 2:25 p.m. on May 29, police were dispatched to the report of a person with a gun. The preliminary investigation indicates the suspect entered a business, allegedly demanded food and brandished what appeared to be a firearm. The suspect then stole food items and fled the scene on foot. Responding officers located the suspect at Wilson Boulevard and N. Fort Myer Drive and took them into custody without incident. During a search incident to arrest, a toy gun and suspected narcotics were recovered. Jeremiah Crans, 23, of No Fixed Address was arrested and charged with Robbery and Possession of Schedule I/II Controlled Substance. They were held without bond.
ROBBERY, 2024-05290150/2024-05290198, 5000 block of Columbia Pike/200 block of N. Glebe Road. At approximately 2:24 p.m. on May 29, police were dispatched to the report of a robbery. The preliminary investigation indicates the suspect entered a business, concealed merchandise, implied he had a weapon to an employee and exited the store without payment. At approximately 6:16 p.m., police responded to the 200 block of N. Glebe Road for the report of a larceny in progress. The preliminary investigation indicates the suspect entered a business, broke a display and began to conceal merchandise before being confronted by an employee. The suspect attempted to exit the store during which a struggle ensued between the suspect and the employee over the stolen merchandise. Responding officers took the suspect into custody on scene and determined he matched the description of the earlier robbery. Maurice Cox, 43, of No Fixed Address was arrested and charged with Robbery (x2) and Destruction of Property. He was held without bond.
ROBBERY, 2024-05290207, 800 block of N. Randolph Street. At approximately 7:26 p.m. on May 29, police were dispatched to the report of an armed robbery. Upon arrival, it was determined that a male suspect entered a business and stole an undisclosed amount of cash from the cash register. When confronted by two employees, the suspect assaulted both employees and brandished a stun gun before fleeing the scene on foot. The employees sustained non-life threatening injuries with one being treated on scene by medics and the other declining treatment. The suspect is described as a Black male, 25-30 years old, wearing a black raincoat and black pants. The investigation is ongoing.
PEEPING, 2024-05290016, 1800 block of Queens Lane. At approximately 1:31 a.m. on May 29, police were dispatched to the report of a suspicious person. Upon arrival, it was determined that a female victim was inside her residence when she heard a male voice speak to her from outside a window. Responding officers performed a canvass of the area yielding negative results. No suspect description is available at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
INDECENT EXPOSURE, 2024-05290234, 1700 block of Wilson Boulevard. At approximately 10:05 p.m. on May 29, police were dispatched to the report of disorderly conduct. Upon arrival, it was determined that a female suspect exposed herself in a parking garage. June Lee, 51, of Culpepper, VA was arrested and charged with Indecent Exposure. She was held without bond.
UNLAWFUL ENTRY, 2024-05290248, 2100 block of N. Westmoreland Street. At approximately 1:16 p.m. on May 29, police were dispatched to the report of an attempted breaking and entering. Upon arrival, it was determined the male victim was inside his residence when the suspect attempted to open a door to the home. The suspect then fled the scene on foot. No items were reported stolen or damaged. The suspect is described as a male with thin build, long hair and was wearing a blue hoodie and khaki shorts. The investigation is ongoing.
