REPORTS
PEEPING, 2024-05060018, 900 block of 17th Street S. At approximately 2:03 a.m. on May 6, police were dispatched to the report of a suspicious person. Upon arrival, it was determined the victims were inside their home when they observed the male suspect, who they recognized from a previous peeping incident on March 27 (2024-03274019), outside their residence and called police. Responding officers canvassed the area for the suspect and located an individual matching the description of the suspect nearby and took him into custody. Christopher Sails, 40, of No Fixed Address was arrested and charged with Peeping related to the March 27 incident. He was held without bond.
UNLAWFUL ENTRY, 2024-05030303, 4500 block of S. Four Mile Run Drive. At approximately 10:43 p.m. on May 3, police were dispatched to the report of trouble unknown. The preliminary investigation indicates the suspect gained entry to the balcony of the victim’s residence. Responding officers located the suspect on scene and took him into custody without incident. David Jackson, 36, of Arlington, Va. was arrested and charged with Unlawful Entry.
ROBBERY (late), 2024-05030062, S. Greenbrier Street at Columbia Pike. At approximately 8:20 a.m. on May 3, police were dispatched to the report of an assault with injury. It was determined at approximately 8:00 p.m. on May 2, the male victim was entering his parked vehicle when two male suspects approached him, assaulted him and stole an undisclosed amount of cash before fleeing the scene on foot. The victim sustained serious injuries and left the scene. Upon his report, he was transported to an area hospital. The suspects are described as young, Hispanic males wearing black facemasks. The investigation is ongoing.
ROBBERY (late), 2024-05030129, 2000 block of S. Quincy Street. On May 3, police received an online report for a late robbery. The preliminary investigation indicates at approximately 11:05 p.m. on April 21, the female victim approached her vehicle parked outside of a residential building and observed the three male suspects in the area, who engaged her in conversation. The suspects then ran up to the victim, demanded her personal belongings and stole an undisclosed amount of cash and other personal items before fleeing the scene on foot. No injuries were reported. The suspects are described as one Black male and two Hispanic males. The investigation is ongoing.
BURGLARY (late), 2024-05030145, 4500 block of 31st Street S. On May 3, police received an online report for a late burglary. The preliminary investigation indicates at approximately 4:30 p.m. on May 1, the female victim returned to her home and observed jewelry missing. No other items were reported stolen. There is no suspect description(s). The investigation is ongoing
