REPORTS

MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 2024-11010022, 800 block of S. Greenbrier Street. At approximately 1:53 a.m. on November 1, police were dispatched to the report of a stabbing victim at Innova Hospital. The preliminary investigation indicates that the two male victims were in the 800 block of S. Greenbrier Street when they were approached by 4-5 Hispanic male suspects and a physical altercation ensued during which one victim suffered a stab wound. The victim self-transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. No additional suspect descriptions are available at this time. The investigation is ongoing.  

CARJACKING, 2024-10310171, 1200 block of S. Fern Street. At approximately 5:58 p.m. on October 31, police were dispatched to the report of an armed robbery. Upon arrival, it was determined that the female victim was at her parked vehicle inside a parking garage when the male suspect approached, brandished a firearm and demanded her keys while a female suspect demanded her phone. The male suspect then stole the victim’s vehicle, described as a Black Audi A4 with Alabama license plate A0A217H and fled the scene. No injuries were reported. The male suspect is described as a Black male in his 20’s, wearing all black, gloves and a face covering. The female suspect is described as a heavy-set Black female in her 20’s, wearing a black and grey sweatshirt and black pants. The investigation is ongoing.

BURGLARY, 2024-10310051, 500 block of 23rd Street South. At approximately 8:54 a.m. on October 31, police were dispatched to the report of a burglary just discovered. Upon arrival, it was determined that the male suspect forced entry into the closed business by smashing a glass door and stole merchandise before fleeing the scene on foot. Responding officers established a perimeter and conducted a search of the business and surrounding area for the suspect yielding negative results. The suspect is described as a Black male wearing a gray hoodie, face covering, black gloves, light colored pants, and white sneakers. The investigation is ongoing.
