REPORTS
ATTEMPTED BURGLARY, 2024-10150186, 4300 block of 2nd Road N. At approximately 10:25 p.m. on October 15, police were dispatched to the report of a burglary in progress. Upon arrival, it was determined the victim was inside her residence when she heard a noise and observed the male suspect allegedly attempting to open a window to the residence. The victim yelled and the suspect fled the scene on foot. During the course of the investigation, officers identified the suspect and took him into custody in the 4300 block of Arlington Boulevard. Michael Tomlin, 60, of Arlington, VA was arrested and charged with Attempted Burglary. He was held without bond.
BURGLARY (late), 2024-10150115, 600 block of N. Lincoln Street. At approximately 3:16 p.m. on October 15, police were dispatched to the late report of a breaking and entering. Upon arrival, it was determined that at approximately 12:00 a.m. on October 15, the male suspect gained entry into the victim’s home and stole cash, credit cards and airpods before fleeing the scene. Responding officers conducted a canvass of the area yielding negative results. The suspect is described as a white male with a beard, approximately 30-50 years old and wearing glasses, a windbreaker jacket, zip up hoodie, pants and sneakers. The investigation is ongoing.
PEEPING (late), 2024-10150089, 1100 block of N. Taylor Street. At approximately 12:50 p.m. on October 15, police responded to the police station for the late report of peeping. The preliminary investigation indicates that at approximately 10:00 p.m. on October 13, the female victim was inside her residence when she observed the male suspect looking into a window of the home. The suspect, described as a white male, then fled the scene on foot. The investigation is ongoing.
