REPORTS
ROBBERY, 2024-10070114, 1200 block of S. Hayes Street. At approximately 2:47 p.m. on October7, police were dispatched to the report of a shoplifter in custody. Upon arrival, it was determined the female suspect allegedly entered the business, concealed merchandise and exited the store without payment. Loss prevention personnel confronted the suspect outside the business and attempted to apprehend her during which she was noncompliant. Following a brief struggle, loss prevention personnel detained the suspect. No injuries were reported. During the course of the investigation, the suspect provided responding officers with false personal identification information. Muna Sharif, 29, of Fairfax, Va. was arrested and charged with Robbery and Giving False Identity to a Law Enforcement Officer.
