REPORTS
ROBBERY, 2024-10080030, 900 block of Army Navy Drive. At approximately 7:41 a.m. on October 8, police were dispatched to the report of a larceny just occurred. Upon arrival, it was determined that the male suspect entered the business, made threatening statements towards employees, went behind the counter and stole cigarettes before fleeing the scene on foot. Responding officers conducted a canvass of the area for the suspect yielding negative results. The suspect is described as a Black male, 30-40 years of age, 6’1”-6’2” with a large build, wearing a green jacket, blue shirt, dark green pants and tan shoes. The investigation is ongoing.
BURGLARY (late), 2024-10080053, 2200 block of 24th Street N. At approximately 9:38 a.m. on October 8, police were dispatched to the report of a burglary just discovered. Upon arrival, it was determined that at approximately 5:27 a.m. on October 7, the suspect vehicle approached the victim’s residence, the suspect exited and made entry into the victim’s vehicle parked in the driveway. The suspect utilized a garage opener from inside the victim’s vehicle to make entry into the garage where they entered a second vehicle and stole personal items, credit cards and car keys before subsequently fleeing the scene in the suspect vehicle described as a white SUV. The suspect is described as a Black male, wearing a long-sleeved white shirt, blue jeans, white sneakers, and a black face covering. The investigation is ongoing.
BURGLARY (late), 2024-10080116, 1900 block of Fort Myer Drive. At approximately 1:46 p.m. on October 8, police were dispatched to the late report of a breaking and entering. It was determined between approximately 12:00 a.m. on October 1 and 1:46 p.m. on October 8, the suspect(s) forced entry into a secured office inside a business, stole electronics and subsequently fled the scene. There is no suspect description(s). The investigation is ongoing.
ATTEMPTED BURGLARY (late), 2024-10080143, 1000 block of S. Frederick Street. At approximately 4:35 p.m. on October 8, police were dispatched to the late report of a breaking and entering. Upon arrival, it was determined at approximately 11:00 p.m. on October 7, a witness observed the male suspect attempt to force entry into an apartment. The witness verbally confronted the suspect who subsequently fled the scene on foot. The suspect is described as a short Black male. The investigation is ongoing.
UNLAWFUL ENTRY, 2024-10080205, 2200 block of Arlington Boulevard. At approximately 10:38 p.m. on October 8, police were dispatched to the report of destruction of property. Upon arrival, it was determined that the male suspect forced entry into an unoccupied hotel room, causing property damage and subsequently fled the scene when he was observed by an employee. Responding officers conducted a canvass of the area for the suspect yielding negative results. The suspect is described as a Black male, 5'10” with a thin build, short hair and short facial hair wearing a dark hoodie and dark pants. The investigation is ongoing.
