Police Investigate Green Valley Shooting

ARLINGTON, Va. – The Arlington County Police Department’s Homicide/Robbery Unit is investigating a shooting that took place in Green Valley on the evening of November 16, 2024.
At approximately 9:55 p.m., police were dispatched to Virginia Hospital Center for the report of a juvenile male victim in his teens who self-reported to the hospital suffering from a gunshot wound, considered serious but non-life-threatening. It was subsequently determined a shooting occurred in the 3200 block of 24th Street S.
The preliminary investigation indicates the victim was outside when he was approached by two suspects and a physical altercation ensued. During the course of the incident, one suspect discharged a firearm, striking the victim, before both suspects fled the scene.
