REPORTS

BANK ROBBERY, 2025-02250083, 900 block of S. George Mason Drive. At approximately 11:18 a.m. on February 25, police were dispatched to the report of a burglary in progress. Upon arrival, it was determined to be a robbery by force. The preliminary investigation determined the male suspect allegedly entered a bank, passed a teller a note demanding money and subsequently fled the scene on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. A lookout was broadcast and responding officers established a perimeter and located the suspect inside a neighboring business. He was taken into custody without incident. The stolen cash was recovered. Steve Smith, 30, of Washington, DC was arrested and charged with Robbery. He was held without bond.

ROBBERY, 2025-02250276, 900 block of N. Stafford Street. At approximately 11:48 p.m. on February 25, police were dispatched to the report of an armed robbery. Upon arrival, it was determined four juvenile male suspects in their teens entered the business, consumed food items and subsequently exited without payment. When confronted by an employee outside of the business, Suspect One brandished what appeared to be a firearm at the employee before all four suspects fled the scene on foot. No injuries were reported. Responding officers conducted a canvass of the area for the suspects yielding negative results. Suspect One is described as a thin-build Hispanic male, approximately 15-18 years old, wearing a black hoodie and a crossbody bag. Suspect Two is described as a thin-build Hispanic male, approximately 15-18 years old, with black hair, wearing a dark colored long sleeve shirt. Suspect Three is described as a thin-build Asian male, approximately 15-18 years old, wearing black eyeglasses, a navy blue and gray beanie, a blue puffer jacket, jeans and white shoes. Suspect Four is described as a thin-build Asian male, approximately 15-18 years old, with curly black hair, wearing a dark colored puffer jacket, jeans and black sneakers. The investigation is ongoing.
