Open Enrollment is April 29 to May 17

Open Enrollment is the opportunity to make insurance changes.  Any changes you make will be effective July 1^st.   Below is some important news regarding the County’s retiree insurance plans.

All of our Open Enrollment events are online.  But we’re still available via email or phone if you have any questions or if you need any help. 

Please remember there is nothing for you to do unless you need to make changes for July 1. You will stay enrolled in the same insurance plans. 

What’s New for July 1?

• FY25 Cost-of-Living Adjustments:
  • For Chapter 21 retirees, the COLA is 1.5%
  • For Chapter 46 retirees, the COLA is 3.55%
• Cigna, Kaiser HMO, and Delta Dental monthly premium rates are increasing effective July 1.  

  Please review the charts on the right.
  

• If you are enrolled in a Cigna insurance plan, EyeMed is the new vision network.  Your vision provider must participate in this network beginning July 1. All Cigna members will get an EyeMed Vision ID card. 

• New name! We are renaming our Delta Dental Premium Plan the "Delta Dental Enhanced Plan." Same great benefits, but with a better name! 
  

IMPORTANT NOTE:   Kaiser Medicare Advantage and UHC Medicare Advantage rates are not changing at this time. We will announce potential changes to Medicare plans in the fall of 2024.  Any changes will not be effective until January 1, 2025.
