Sign Up to Speak at a BZA Hearing

Board of Zoning Appeals (BZA) hearings are hybrid public meetings, held both in-person and also available to the public through electronic communication means.

Speakers are requested to pre-register online or by phone no later than 12 p.m. on the day of the scheduled hearing. In-person registration during a BZA hearing may also be available as time permits.  

• Registered speakers will receive an email with further instruction.
• Speakers may join the meeting in-person, via Microsoft Teams (accessible through a web browser or the free app), or via a phone line to provide their comments.
• To register by phone, contact the Acting Board of Zoning Appeals Coordinator at 703-228-3589 by 12 p.m. the day of the hearing.
