Civil Service Commission (CS)

The Arlington Civil Service Commission:

• Represents the public interest in the improvement of County personnel administration
• Advises the County Board, County Manager and Human Resources Director on personnel polices for the Competitive Service
• Conducts the final level of employee grievance appeal hearings

Members

The County Board appoints Commission members. The Commission’s five members are County citizens with broad management or public affairs experience. (Note: County employees or paid office holders can’t become members.)
