NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT THE COUNTY BOARD OF ARLINGTON CO., VA, on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at 3:00pm or as soon thereafter as matters may be heard, at 2110 Washington Boulevard, 2nd Floor Boardroom, Arlington, VA 22204, will hold a joint work session with the County Manager and the Arlington County School Board to discuss the Proposed 2025 - 2034 Capital Improvement Plan related to Arlington Public Schools.

The public is welcome to attend the work session in person or view via live stream on the County's website and on local cable stations on Comcast 25 & 1085 and Verizon FiOS 39 & 40.   8. Clarifying the methodology for measuring sign height for outdoor visual entertainment;
  9. Permitting commercial messages on outdoor visual entertainment for activities, services, and products within the community shopping center or urban regional shopping center for which the outdoor visual entertainment sign was approved;
  10. Establishing hours of operation for displays on outdoor visual entertainment between 9:00 am – 10:00 pm, Sunday through Thursday, and between 8:00 am – 11:00 pm on Fridays and Saturdays, clarifying that sound emitted from outdoor visual entertainment shall only be permitted during these hours of operation; and permitting displays on outdoor visual entertainment beyond these prescribed hours of operation when associated with an approved Special Event Permit;
  11. Permitting modification through County Board use permit approval for certain use standards, including minimum distance from an R or RA zoning district, maximum sign area, maximum sign height, sign type, and hours of operation;
  12. Permitting approved and installed signs categorized as outdoor visual entertainment to continue to operate in compliance with all conditions of the use permit or site plan under which it was originally approved;
  13. Expanding the definition of outdoor visual entertainment to permit displays of live events, movies, or similar displays; and,
  14. Making other editorial changes for improved clarity, and for other related reasons required by public necessity, convenience, general welfare, and good zoning practice.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT THE COUNTY BOARD OF ARLINGTON CO., VA, on Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at 3:00pm, at 2100 Clarendon Boulevard, Suite 307, Arlington Virginia 22201 will hold a special meeting for a public convocation to convene in a closed session for the purposes authorized by law.  The convocation and certification of the closed session is open to the public. The closed meeting itself is not open to the public.
