PUBLIC NOTICE
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT THE COUNTY BOARD OF ARLINGTON CO., VA, on October 19, 2024 at 2100 Clarendon Boulevard, Suite 307, Arlington Virginia 22201 in a meeting at 9:00 A.M. or as soon thereafter as matters may be heard, will consider the following cases, after offering the public an opportunity to be heard in a public hearing.

Members of the public may participate virtually and in person. Speaker signup will also be available in-person on the day of the meeting. The meeting will be available via live stream at www.arlingtonva.us and local cable stations on Comcast 25 & 1085 and Verizon FiOS 39 & 40. The term Site Plan in this notice refers to a Special Exception Site Plan as defined in the Arlington County Zoning Ordinance and is not the same as an engineering site plan or construction plans submitted in satisfaction of other codes or ordinances. The terms ACZO and GLUP means Arlington County Zoning Ordinance and General Land Use Plan, respectively. Ordinance to Permit the Encroachment of an Underground Transformer Vault and Surface Level Vault Lids into an Existing Easement for Public Sidewalk and Utilities Purposes on Parcel A, 11th and Vermont South, located at 1031 N. Vermont St., Arlington, Virginia (RPC# 14-017-254, formerly RPC#s 14-017-005, 14-017-006 and 14-017-018), with conditions.

SUBJECT: Ordinance to (a) repeal chapter 57 (Erosion and Sediment Control) of the Arlington County Code and (b) amend, reenact, and recodify Chapter 60 of the Arlington County Code (Stormwater Management) as the “Erosion and Stormwater Management Ordinance of Arlington County, Virginia.”
SUBJECT: Ordinance to amend, reenact, and recodify Chapter 46 (Arlington County Employees’ Supplemental Retirement System—II, “ACERS”) of the Code of Arlington County, Virginia to:
- Amend Article VI, Section 32 and Article VIII, Section 38 to provide a 1% multiplier benefit formula and a 2.5% required employee contribution for non-uniformed employees who are not part of a bargaining unit, hired after January 11, 2025.
- Amend Article IV, Section 27 and Article V, Section 31 to delete the option for newly hired employees in the Management Accountability Program to opt out of the ACERS pension plan and allow the six employees who are currently not participating in ACERS into the proposed new plan provisions, effective January 12, 2025.
- Amend Article VIII, Sections 43 and 52 to correct amendments made in May 2023 that were agreed to during negotiations for the current contract between Arlington County Government and the Arlington Professional Firefighters and Paramedics Assoc., IAFF Local 2800.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT THE COUNTY BOARD OF ARLINGTON CO., VA, on Tuesday, October 8th, 2024 at 2:30pm, or as soon thereafter as matters may be heard, at 2100 Clarendon Boulevard, Suite 307, Arlington Virginia 22201 will hold a public convocation to convene in a closed session for the purposes authorized by law. The convocation and certification of the closed session is open to the public. The closed meeting itself is not open to the public.
