Inter-Service Club Council Week
WHEREAS, the Inter-Service Club Council of Arlington (ISCC), has for 77 years served as the liaison between its member service clubs and community organizations, promoting friendship and goodwill, coordinating projects among its members, and providing a forum for the discussion of community needs and concerns; and
WHEREAS, the Annual Inter-Service Luncheon provides additional assurance that our committed citizens remain overwhelmingly devoted to our community; and
WHEREAS, the ISCC admirably reflects the caring spirit which has characterized the American way since the founding of our great country; and
WHEREAS, the services performed by ISCC member organizations enrich the County with benefits which otherwise would cost thousands of tax dollars; and
WHEREAS, service clubs and community organizations have most generously donated their time and talents – reported in excess of 100,000 hours annually – to a wide range of programs and activities that touch and enhance the lives of our citizens;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Jay Fisette, Chair of the County Board of Arlington, Virginia, do hereby proclaim November 12 through 18, 2017 as
INTER-SERVICE CLUB COUNCIL WEEK
in Arlington County and encourage all residents to recognize the services provided by the Inter-Service Club Council and its member.
