Drug Treatment Court

Arlington’s Drug Court Program enhances public safety by providing a cost-effective, integrated system of treatment and judicial supervision. The program requires participant accountability with the goal of reducing recidivism and its effects on the community.

Who May Participate

The Drug Court Program admits probationers who have violated the terms and conditions of probation due to a substance abuse issue. There are many conditions that must be met by probationers who enter the program, and all admissions must be voluntary. The Commonwealth’s Attorney must approve the referral in order for probationers to participate.

Location

Drug Court is held 8:30 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. every Thursday in courtroom 10B in the Arlington County Circuit Court.

The drug court docket is open to the public, and the drug court team encourages family members, community members, and members of the public are encouraged to observe the drug court program in its operations.
